Custom Screen Printing & Printed Apparel
10 Mistakes that Most People Make
Reasons Why You Should Acquire Custom Apparel for Your Business
Being in the business sector in this day and age, it is not enough to just make enormous profits. Societal impact and image have become part and parcel of doing business. What was the in thing yesterday is old fashioned today and customizing apparels has become not only a necessity but also ideal. We are therefore going to look at the reasons as to why this is actually necessary and what impact it has on the business.
Thsirt Printing 101: Coating The Screen With Emulsion
Depending on how good your air circulation is and how many screens you coat at one time, your drying time can be anywhere from an hour for one screen to overnight for a rack full. The drying time will also depend on the relative humidity in your geographic region. Remember that the area where the screens are drying with emulsion should be a clean room with minimal dust being airborne. Dust that falls onto the surface of the wet emulsion on the screen is most likely to cause pinholes or blockage within your stencil area.
Once the screen is dry it is very light sensitive and all steps hereafter up until the screen is taken out of the exposure unit should be done in subdued yellow or red light.
The first reason for customizing business attires for your business is branding. It enables you to sell out the image of the business to the world. It affects how your customers will relate to your business. Well customized apparels that perfectly embody your brand is a very efficient marketing tool that should not be overlooked. By wearing the apparels, the employees are automatically appointed ambassadors of the company wherever they go.
Credibility is next in line as to why you need custom apparels for your business. Potential customers often feel that a company is somewhat real when they are served by company employees wearing similar apparels with the company's logo artistically printed on them. They speak volumes that would take a lot of time in explaining. They get to draw curious people who will definitely want to know about the business. They are commonly referred to as walking billboards which are very efficient if you are to reach out to many people.
Thsirt Printing 101: How To Hold and Move the Squeegee
This technique moves the strain from the center of your wrist to your forearm muscles. Simply hold the squeegee by the side and pull it towards you. This works great if you are short (aren't all manual presses designed for tall people?), although my son, who is 6'2″ loves this stroke. You can actually get great pressure when printing with thick inks.
A Guide to Screen Printing
More often than not you will be approached different types of people just for donning the apparels. From those who relate to the product to those that are curious to know about the business, what line of business you deal in, what goods and services are offered. This gives you the chance to be able to explain to them the nature of your business and how to acquire your goods or services. On the other hand if they are already customers they could offer invaluable feedback on your products and service delivery and probable areas that need improvement.
Thsirt Printing 101: Going To Press :
Tshirt man makes a center line and several cross hairs at different levels so I can line them up with different parts of the design on the screen. To make your center line go all the way from end to end, measure the center with a ruler and make marks down the length. Then use a long straight edge you can "connect the dots" sort to speak. You can also make a "center line" to the left of the actual center line to get your crest prints, (over the heart), set up too. The position of that line may depend on where your shop likes to position that print. This is most useful when setting up the first screen. It makes it easy to get the design as a whole centered and lined up. Print a test print on a rag shirt on the pallet and then setting up the other screens after that you will use the registration marks on the test print on the pallet. I think the most important thing is to get to know the press. Sometimes presses can have certain characteristics and knowing them is your best tool to speed up your set up time. When I say that, it can mean simply from press to press of the same make or even presses of different brands. So, ultimately, experience will get you moving faster.
What I Can Teach You About Tshirt Printing
The apparels also serve as uniforms for example in the case of a supermarket. This makes it easy for the customers to differentiate the employees from their fellow buyers. Good service delivery is therefore optimized.
The employees get to have a sense of togetherness every time they wear the attire. Whether it is the manager or just a mere store man, they get to have a good working relation at the workplace and even outside. The company or rather brand they represent serves as glue that binds them together. These results in a great working environment.
